Chapter 3: The Blockhouse Assault

The heroes arrive at a mysteriously abandoned village, its homes ransacked and its secrets buried beneath an eerie silence. From the whitewashed walls of the local church to the rat-infested granary, every location hints at a sudden, violent displacement. Evidence soon points towards the cursed rocky shores of Vordakai's island, but the most immediate threat lies atop the hill: a heavily fortified wooden stockade now occupied by aggressive, cunning invaders.

To secure the region, the party must mount a daring assault or a stealthy infiltration against the hilltop fortress. The blockhouse is a formidable defensive structure surrounded by sharpened stakes, watchtowers, and a muddy courtyard. Inside, the invaders have hoarded loot and entrenched themselves in the barracks, armory, and firing galleries, preparing to repel any counterattack.

The climax awaits on the very roof of the blockhouse, where a barrel of oil stands ready to turn the fortress into a blazing inferno. Will the heroes manage to breach the defensive lines and eliminate the leaders, or will they perish under a rain of arrows from the fortified arrow slits?
