Extremophilia

The agents are deployed to Helena, Montana, following the bizarre death of a local deputy. What begins as a routine inquiry into an unusual suburban crime scene quickly spirals into a terrifying race against time. A fungal contagion with unnatural properties is spreading, and those exposed risk becoming vectors for a horrifying fate.

Their investigation leads them from the sterile halls of the City Coroner's Office to a hidden underground "Green Box" bunker buried deep in the forest. As the agents dig deeper, they uncover the sinister operations of the Benthic Company and their secure corporate laboratories, where the true nature of the infection is being studied—and perhaps weaponized.

The trail culminates at the Oakland Pit, a massive, highly toxic copper mine holding dark secrets in its submerged depths, and finally leads to a desperate confrontation atop the monumental Devils Tower in Wyoming. Will the agents stop the contagion, or will they become its next victims?
