The torrential downpour has caused the adjacent river to overflow, flooding the ancient graveyard and turning the sacred grounds into a treacherous, muddy bog. Tombstones protrude from the murky water, providing unstable cover, while ancient mausoleums remain barely above the rising tide, offering temporary refuge from the howling storm. Tactically, the map demands careful navigation due to difficult terrain created by the mud and deep water pockets. The dim, stormy lighting limits visibility, perfect for undead ambushes or aquatic horrors emerging from the overflowing river. VTT walls can be configured around the larger crypts to block line of sight, while the flowing water hazards can push characters downstream if they lose their footing.
