Approach the imposing **Main Gates & Guardhouse**, a tactical battlemap where nature is slowly reclaiming an ancient, forgotten threshold. Heavy, creeping fog rolls through the mountain pass, significantly obscuring vision and creating natural concealment for lurking ambushes. Broken stone pillars offer sturdy heavy cover along the approach, while the overgrown, creeping vines create zones of difficult terrain that can slow down charging heroes. The rusted iron gates act as a severe chokepoint, forcing players into a tactical dilemma: force the gates open, attempt to pick the rusted locks, or find an alternative route while taking incoming fire. Game Masters can utilize the dense mountain flora for stealth encounters or have gothic horrors emerge seamlessly from the thick mists. The verticality of the ruined guardhouse remnants provides excellent elevated sniper positions for ranged enemies to ambush the party.
