The Abyssal Bridge presents a harrowing traversal challenge for your players. Suspended over an unfathomable and silent void, this decaying concrete structure offers barely enough room to fight, let alone maneuver safely. Jagged, rusted rebar protrudes from the crumbling edges, providing the only semblance of handrails along this deadly path. Tactically, this map is all about environmental hazards and forced chokepoints. With massive chunks of the walkway missing, characters will need to make dangerous leaps to cross the gaps. The utter lack of substantial cover means that ranged combatants can dominate the sightlines, while melee fighters risk being shoved into the abyss by a well-timed attack or by the howling, unnatural wind rushing up from the darkness. For Game Masters, this map is an excellent set piece for a tense standoff, an ambush by flying horrors, or a desperate escape sequence. Use the sudden gusts of wind to force dexterity checks, and threaten players with dynamic line-of-sight changes as they leap between the precarious islands of remaining concrete.
