The Hydroponics Ring was once the lifeblood of this vessel, providing oxygen and sustenance to the crew. Now, it is a suffocating jungle of overgrown, dying vegetation. Automated sprinklers continue to cycle relentlessly, filling the sector with a dense, humid mist that severely restricts line of sight and muffles the sound of approaching threats. Tactically, this map forces close-quarters engagements and cautious exploration. The metallic floor panels, shattered by massive sprawling root systems, create treacherous difficult terrain. Meanwhile, the remnants of shattered UV grow-lamps and rusted automated planters offer scattered half-cover. Characters will have to navigate carefully through the decaying foliage, never entirely sure what might be waiting in ambush. Game Masters can utilize the thick mist for hidden enemy movement, crafting a genuinely tense survival-horror atmosphere. The malfunctioning sprinkler system could be used dynamically to periodically flood certain zones, or to trigger sudden electrical hazards if water contacts the broken high-voltage lighting equipment.
