1930s African Archaeological Dig Site

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the dry savannah near a cliff's edge, this 1930s archaeological encampment offers a tense setting for investigation and survival. The camp is fortified by a rudimentary boma (thorn bush fence), providing vital but fragile perimeter defense against whatever lurks in the wilderness. Inside, the layout features scattered canvas tents for crew quarters, a central deep water well, and vital supply caches that create natural chokepoints and limited cover. The true focal points are the various excavation pits, currently shrouded under heavy canvas tarps. These pits serve as excellent hazards or ambush locations. Lighting is stark and unforgiving during the day, casting deep shadows in the pits, while nighttime encounters rely heavily on scattered campfires and lantern light. VTT users can leverage the tarps as interactable elements, hiding what lies beneath until investigators get too close.
